So you could say a little bit of adult content is to be expected. ;)

At the same time I have been known to check the forum in polite company (via my iPod or Kindle)...

So I'm torn.

I actually wasn't talking about the visibility here in the forum. People who come here know what to expect, no problem to me. I also won't bother to browse the forum at work or anything.

I was referring more to the actual owning of what's depicted in that picture. In this case I was referring to that statue. I'd never buy it for the afore mentioned reasons. What if one of my colleagues from work shows up and I have dolls or statues of half naked anime chicks standing around. Even worse if your boss were to stop by. It would defenately not be appreciated.

I may have a bit more than a passing interest in Japanese related entertainment (being animation and manga), but I'd never allow my place or bedroom to become something like those pictures ya see around of those otaku rooms, filled with stuff from those statues, dolls ... down to the bed being covered in anime chicks.

Same deal with H-Mango's really, I'm basically not interested in owning any physical copies anyway.

I see some Awatake in that awesome batch from Biv. Before you scan it, just note that a lot *of* of Awatake has recently been added to http://share-films.net/
Se the search:

While I'm sure to look at it, gotta ask -- anything on that list that's not on exh already?

Edit: NONE of those links are valid.

I don't know; with my setup I cannot use exh.

What do you mean? For example, for the third search result
http://share-films.net/hentai/hentai-manga/hentai-novel/jkh-%E3%81%86%E3%81%95%E3%81%8E%E3%82%BD%E3%83%95%E3%83%88%E5%85%A8%E4%BD%9C%E5%93%81%E9%9B%861-%E3%82%82%E3%81%8E%E3%81%9F%E3%81%A6%E3%81%B1%E3%82%93%E5%A7%89%E5%A6%B9-%E6%95%A3%E6%AD%A9/, the bitshare links seem valid.

That site is annoying in that it often groups download by packs, so you end up downloading 3/4 of stuff you don't want. But it often has stuff I can't find elsewhere. I saw about 10 awatake titles which where not in the big pack mentioned in the recommendation thread.

Got it! Thanks again Biv.

Thumbed through Ornitho. Chapter 3 is all about oral sex. It also seems to delve into the backstory of the teachers a bit?

The author's note has a really tall girl and a cute girl leaning in for a kiss. The cute girl is dressed as a student of the school in the CAGE / Ornitho school, the tall girl is naked except for shoes and a small purse.

Not sure if it's a storyline he had to cut or plans for the future. God I hope the latter, as they make for an adorable pairing. :)

Unfortunately looking at Ornitho there's no way to scan that without breaking the book up, I don't think. We'll see. My scanner is a few hundred miles away for the time being, I'll look into getting a different one.

Well, I think it's usually impossible to properly scan any book w/o breaking it up. After all, if it's not broken up, it's very likely to produce level and lighting differences from the folded/bound side of the page.
Lighting differences could even go as far as missing pieces the scanner couldn't pick up because the very side of the page wasn't close enough to the scanner.

I guess collectors ain't scanners. :D

I assume people looking to scan usually buy two copies of the book, one to break apart and scan, and another to keep for themselves.

I usually do, yes. Biv seems to think he can do it without problems, so we'll see.

That's of course a possibility ... albeit an expensive one. :D

There are few guides how to put books together again. It's not perfect but if the book is not some "prized possession", it might be good enough.

Just saying.

Dunno if ya really need a guide for that.
When I was still in school and I had to turn in works that consisted of a whole lotta paper, I just headed off to have it bound.

There are so many different ways to have something bound, but of course not all of them suited to a manga. Ya wouldn't bind a manga using metal rings for example.

Still, binding a book using a simple glue method is quite simple, although ya'd need the heater machine they use to melt the glue-filled cover.
And I don't think that's the kind of content ya wanna show up with at a printer shop. :D
